Music

Based in the Isle of Lewis, Katie is a singer and harpist. She grew up attending various Fèisean and studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, specialising in Gaelic Song with Kenna Campbell. Since then she has gone on to perform and teach around the world including Tartan Week in New York and Le Festival Interceltique de Lorient.

She has appeared on several albums with Fiona J Mackenzie and released an album with Pur - The Lassies Reply.

Weddings and events

Katie is an experienced wedding musician and has played at countless weddings, in every venue you can think of, from barns to castles! She can help you add that extra special touch to your big day. She can provide background music whilst guests arrive, play you down the aisle, songs during the signing of the register or during your drinks reception; it's up to you! Teaching

Katie is also an experienced a tutor, having taught throughout Scotland. She teaches all ages and all abilities! She is available for private song and harp tuition and regularly teaches at Fèisean up and down the country. She is a YMI music tutor and also teaches Gaelic in primary schools through the Fèisgoil scheme, a Fèisean nan Gàidheal programme. She currently offers online teaching.

PR, marketing and social media

Adding another string to her bow, Katie is also a freelance PR and social media consultant, specialising in working with arts organisations in Scotland.
