When she's not singing or playing harp, Katie is an experienced freelance PR consultant and has worked on a huge variety of projects.
Katie has been working in PR and marketing since 2009, after completing a Masters in Public Relations. She has worked with well-known PR agencies in Scotland and has also worked in-house for companies including National Theatre of Scotland and Communicorp UK, home to radio stations including Capital Scotland, Smooth North West and Heart Yorkshire. Other sectors include travel and tourism, hospitality, food and drink, arts, retail, public sector and events.
She now focuses on working with clients primarily from the arts and not-for-profit sectors, with clients, past & present, including Fèisean nan Gàidheal, Blas Festival, Dogstar Theatre, Highland Print Studio and Fèis Rois.
She works with brands to develop effective communication strategies and campaigns and is skilled in promoting brands via traditional media relations, social media and other digital marketing activities. Katie loves to tell a good story and will help you spread your stories to your target audience.
Whether you want to launch a new product or shout about your business success, Katie can help, either on a one-off project or on a retained basis to support your business goals. Passionate about all things digital, Katie can help you develop a digital strategy and give you the helping hand you might need with social media so you have the confidence and knowledge to talk about your work online.
